Small Forward:
Small Forward has been a staple of LA’s diy music scene since 2017, delivering their own brand of home-recorded, country-infused, indie rock. In 2025, Small Forward released their heavily anticipated second LP ‘Crush’ — marking a momentous step forward for a band who have honed their craft and are ready to show it. Entirely self-produced and self-recorded, ‘Crush’ masterfully weaves together timeless melodies and memorable songwriting amidst a backdrop of alternative country / indie rock.

Regarded as “open-hearted and determinedly honest” by Americana UK, and as “exuding as much gentleness and vulnerability as anything in Nick Drake’s catalog” by Americana Highways, LA-based songwriter Jeremy Ferrara has carved out a unique space in the indie-folk landscape. After touring the US and Europe multiple times and signing to a label, he remains grounded, earnest, and quietly compelling—an uncommon combination in the genre. On his latest album Darkness Is A Bright Sound (produced by Luke Temple), Ferrara comes through with a full band, heralding his philosophical delivery of songs full of gentle acceptance and positivity.
