It’s a place to perform, practice, and showcase your talent — but it’s also a networking hub for Portland’s hip-hop community. Each event brings together artists, producers, DJs, dancers, promoters, radio hosts, media professionals, and creatives who are building momentum on and off the stage.

Whether you’re there to perform or connect, Late Lyrics creates space for collaboration beyond just the mic.

Doors & Door Sign-Ups: 8:00 PM (First come, first served)

• Performance Slots: 20 per event — 10 Advanced + 10 Door

This Month’s Special Guest: Mighty

Mighty (a.k.a. Mathias Mauk) is a mainstay in the Portland rap scene. His fast flowing and clever bars share commentary and wisdom, often pulled from his own upbringing.

Mighty has toured the country extensively and has built a cult following for his unique brand of storytelling. He is as much an advocate for his community as he is for his music. Each year, he hosts a non-profit event providing shoes to kids for their first day of school, landing sponsors including Jordan Brand, Timberlands, Nike and Lumen.

During the pandemic Mighty and his team pivoted from live performances to working heavily in the Sync Licensing space, where in under 3 years he has landed deals with brands such as Netflix, Nike, Gatorade, NBA, MLB, NFL, MGM, and Paramount just to name a few. Needless to say Mighty is a force to be reckoned with wherever his pen takes him.
