Hallelujah! A Leonard Cohen Tribute Show + Picture Book Launch

Don’t miss this one-time-only Leonard Cohen tribute band’s family-friendly release concert, celebrating the publication of Alicia Jo Rabins’ new picture book “Hallelujah,” a book for kids about Leonard Cohen’s long, slow process writing his world-famous song! For the book launch, Alicia has put together an all-star, all-women band of Portland musicians to cover the greatest hits (and one or two deep cuts) of Leonard Cohen. 

The band:
Alicia Jo Rabins (genre-defying composer, poet, and violinist whose band Girls in Trouble blends feminist Jewish storytelling with indie-folk and experimental rock)

Rachel Brashear (singer-songwriter whose music channels cinematic nostalgia and vintage pop into emotionally vivid soundscapes)

A. Walker Spring (multi-instrumentalist and songwriter known for her intimate, layered songs with Night Brunch and others)

 Christa Mrgn (experimental composer and sound artist whose work fuses analog textures and ghostly harmonies into immersive sonic narratives)

Featuring special guest LaRhonda Steele (a powerhouse vocalist and pillar of Portland’s blues and gospel scene, known for her soul-stirring performances)
