Evan Thomas Way Album Release

Evan Thomas Way has spent the majority of his musical career in bands – most notably, he has been the lead singer/songwriter for Portland-based folk rock stalwarts The Parson Red Heads for over 20 years. In 2021, he began a mission to record every single song he had written and not released yet, in an effort to clear out his back catalog of written music and start completely fresh. This effort resulted in a few albums worth of recorded material, the first of which is his new solo acoustic album entitled Find a Song. It’s a departure from the higher energy, harmony filled cosmic-Americana of The Parson Red Heads – hushed, melancholy, and hopeful, this collection of songs showcases Way’s earnest and insightful lyrics, and his well-crafted melodies, against the backdrop of acoustic guitars, pianos, and upright bass.

Buddies is five friends making music for the pure joy of it. Their music is a mix of southern rock and garage tones, with songs built on nostalgia and just having a good time.
