Decent Sleep:

Decent Sleep plays groovy pop soul with emo inclinations. Based in Portland, OR and led by guitarist and vocalist Cody Tracey, the band was born in 2023 with a text message that said “I wanna write a song like Pinegrove.” What began as a back-and-forth of iPhone notes and voice memos with co-lyricist Chloe Stroman quickly grew into a full-blown band with a kaleidoscope of influences and a beautiful community of supporters and collaborators. Along with Cody, the band consists of bassist Sean Fidler, drummer Marc Jones, and vocalist Maddie McLean. Their playfully sincere songs aim to welcome listeners in with open arms, whether that’s into a shared moment of introspection or onto a high-energy dance floor. Decent Sleep has recorded two EPs, plays well-loved shows in and around Portland, and will produce their first full-length album in 2026.
